Frequently Asked Questions

    • I'm thinking of buying some topiary plants, namely taxus and baytrees, If I buy two will they match?

Thank you for showing an interest in our website. We source all our Laurus from one small family grower in Belgium which ensures all Bay Trees have similar foliage.  When picking you pair we will make sure they are the best possible match.   Whilst we can not promise the plants will be an exact match we always endeavour to send out the best match possible.

    • Hi, I have a really large bamboo but would like, if possible, to split it into smaller plants. Is this possible?

Hi, Yes of course Bamboo are one of the easiest plants for this type of thing. Best time to do this is either in Autumn when the growing season ends and before the winter begins or in early spring when the frosts have cleared. It may sound harsh but it really is not to difficult. Simply split the roots with an axe, very sharp knife or a saw. replant in a smaller pot in a multi purpose compost and try to keep the plants clear of frost whilst becoming established. Hope this helps.
    • I am a little concerned about buying plants online. How do you get them to me?
All our plants are sent out in a box tailor made for the specific plant. They are sent via a courier who will deliver them to your door within the time specified. If you do encounter any problems with the plants delivered, please contact us immediately and we will sort it out immediately.  I hope this information helps with your concerns.
    • I am looking to buy bamboo for screening, which is best?  It is always best to contact the Nursery at the time of purchase so we can talk you through the best options, whether this be the tallest, bushiest or which are best suited to the area you propose to screen.
    • Do you deliver overseas?  Unfortunately we cannot deliver live plants outside of UK mainland.
    • When will my order be delivered?  We aim to deliver within 5 to 7 working days, sometimes a little sooner.  During our busy season this is sometimes a bit longer, but is advertised on our website.
    • Is my delivery a timed service?  Plants sent out with couriers are on an overnight service and this is not timed.  If we are delivering on one of our own vehicles we can ask the driver to call an hour before. Just let us know and we can arrange this.
    • What do I do if I'm not happy with my plant?
    • If you receive a plant that you believe is in bad condition when you take it out of the box, contact us immediately. We will then ask you to send us a photograph to show the condition upon arrival. Provided you have contacted us within 30 days of receipt and provided photographs of the defective plant we will be happy to arrange a refund or replacement. If we are not notified of a problem within 30 days of arrival you are deemed to of accepted the plant and we accept no liability if it fails. You can return it within 30 days to receive a refund and replacement. Please make sure you return with its original packaging and quoting order number.
